EPRs are specific to individual crop varieties. A single variety can be represented in Grain Trader in several commodities (eg by grade), and a single commodity can be associated with a number of varieties. Grain Trader therefore has a mechanism to link varieties to commodities in a many-to-many relationship. This is performed using the Varieties window as shown below:

This window can be displayed either from the View menu:

or by clicking the ellipsis button on the Varieties panel of the Commodity window:

To create a new Variety, click the New Variety button and enter the details on the right-hand side of the Varieties window. If EPRs are to be collected for this Variety (it is optional) check the Apply Royalties box and select/enter the appropriate values. If the supplier account for the Royalty Manager does not yet have an associated Customer account at this stage you will be prompted to either link the two or create a new one, as described in EPR Supplier/Customer. To associate an existing Variety with a Commodity, select the Commodity from the
