Orders Module

The Grain Trader Orders Module provides a planning and scheduling tool. Using Orders you can:

  • Assign loads from multiple suppliers to a single buyer, or a single supplier to multiple buyers;
  • Co-ordinate contracts, suppliers, buyers and carriers to ensure capacity and product is available when and where needed;
  • Use the built-in week-at-a-glance order summary to tie everything together;
  • Automatically or manually create draft (saved) loads in Grain Trader, right from the Orders window;
  • Provide movement advice/authority documents for carriers, suppliers and buyers;
  • Draft loads automatically feed into Grain Trader's Truck Book scheduling system

The Orders Module is an add-on to Grain Trader, available at extra cost.

The Orders Module is invoked by clicking on Orders in the Menu Bar. This will display the Orders Selection Screen as seen on the next page.

This will display the Orders Screen, which will allow you to create a new Order or View and Edit an existing Order.

Details Screen

Orders fall into one of two categories.

  1) Where all the loads associated with this order are coming from a fixed source.
     E.g. Where you are taking delivery of loads from one supplier into your own storage.
  2) Where all loads associated with this Order are being delivered to a fixed destination.
     E.g. Where you are supplying loads from one or more sources and being delivered to one Buyer.

The example below is based on a fixed destination Order.
