Cause
This error commonly indicates that your database has become corrupted. There are several possible causes for this, for example:
- A faulty network card somewhere on your network;
- A user has shut down their computer without closing Grain Trader first;
- A power failure or surge (eg lightning strike) has occurred while one or more users is running Grain Trader, or;
- The database has been opened in a program other than one for which it was designed (e.g. Word).
Resolution
In most cases this problem can be rectified by repairing the database. However in rare cases the database can be irretrievably corrupted and you must restore a backup copy and re-enter any lost work.
Database repair should normally only be carried out by CDA Software personnel, and if you experience this error you should contact our support staff for advice in the first instance.
